Comprehensive Risk Counseling Services (CRCS) The HESSO Project's intervention model, Comprehensive Risk Counseling Services (CRCS) provides intensive, individualized, client-centered risk reduction counseling and support. The Comprehensive Risk Counselors help individuals at high risk for HIV infection or transmission to understand high risk behaviors and how to reduce them. High risk HIV-negative clients identified through counseling and testing are eligible to be enrolled into the program.The goal of CRCS is to provide clients with one-on-one and group counseling that will assist them in changing behaviors that place them at risk for contracting HIV. The primary target populations for CRCS are HIV-negative Injecting Drug Users and their sex partners, but other high risk persons, including commercial sex workers, and individuals with multiple episodes of STDs are also eligible for enrollment.
